2020 Bookings

Bookings for Fishing – Opening Sat 21st March

How time flies - it is now only 3-weeks until we reopen on Sat 21st March and the limited spaces for 2020 Membership are filling fast. Now is the time to apply for 2020 Membership for anglers wishing to fish specimen Lake 1 (Carp) or specimen Lake 2 (Carp/Catfish) or night fishing on all lakes. Members can now book fishing from 21st March through to 30th June (end of month 4 ahead). The 2020 Membership Application is available online at: https://www.manor-fisheries.co.uk/availability/.

All visitor may book Lake 3 (Mixed) day fishing up to 4 months ahead.

Bookings for Accommodation plus Fishing – Opening sat 21st March

You can now book your favourite week up to the 5th October 2020 to include Apartment plus Fishing for 3, 4 or 7-nights or longer.

Holiday Arrival and Departure Dates

  • 7 nights is arriving Saturday and leaving Saturday by 10.00 am

  • 4 nights is arriving Monday and leaving Friday by 10.00 am

  • 3 nights is arriving Friday and leaving Monday by 10.00 am

Headcorn 2020 Air Shows

While relaxing and fishing you can see many older military aircraft flying overhead on the dates below:

Battle of Britain Air Show on the 27th & 28th June 2020

Enjoy the Battle of Britain display featuring representative aircraft from the Battle of Britain era between 11.00 am and 3:30 pm when Spitfires, Hurricanes and other aircraft of the period such as the Tiger Moth and Harvard T6 will also take part.

Combined Ops Military & Aircraft Show on the 8th & 9th August 2020

Fishery Activity Plan – the next 3-weeks

Manor Fisheries is closed for the winter and before we open on Saturday 21st March there are on-going activities including:

  • The daily winter fish feeding programme using 1,200Kg of high quality feed

  • Management of the lakes through further netting and electro stunning.

  • General grounds and islands maintenance

    • Branches cleared (and burnt) around Lakes 1 and 2

  • Apartments, cabin, administration and security maintenance

    • After overcoming one or two minor issues, this month we upgraded our Broadband, IT hardware and software to include the latest Microsoft Windows 10. Also please note my new email address is: mike@mikemmorrison.com 

We plan to keep you informed with News over the coming weeks and we also welcome receiving your comments and/or ideas.

Cabin Logbook

Please record your catch in the Cabin Logbook provided and include Cats weighing over 30lbs, don’t be shy ……. please also record Carp over 20lbs as this forms the basis of our Monthly News Report and provides valuable input to our lake management plans.

Thank you to all those anglers who have spent a few moments in the past to summarise their catch in the Cabin Logbook and we wish you a very successful 2020 season.

Manor Fisheries Specimens

Each year we award every angler with a PIN to commemorate catching their first Manor Fisheries specimen fish for each species shown below. To qualify; record your catch in the Cabin Logbook noting the 2020 PIN qualifying weights are:

2020 Leader Board

The Leader Board competition will again run throughout our 2020 Season and commence on Saturday 21st March 2020. Prizes will be awarded for the specimens caught by or on Sunday 11th October 2020 and to qualify record your catch in the Cabin Logbook:

  • £50.00 for the first verified 50lbs+ Catfish

  • £50.00 for the first verified 30lbs+ Carp

  • £50.00 for the first verified 8lbs+ Tench

In the event these “Target weights” are not met, the above prizes will be awarded for the heaviest verified Carp, Catfish and Tench specimens recorded in the Cabin Logbook by or on Sunday 11th October 2020.
