Fishing Report – 1st May 2021 to 31st May 2021

Introduction

Many thanks to Nick Bodiam and Kelvin Collins who arrived at 7am on Sunday 2nd May to witness that a Goose had been left entangled in a large quantity of discarded monofilament line. They thoughtfully then began their session with a successful rescue. It is totally unacceptable for an angler to ignore discarded line and it reasonable that Manor Fisheries (or another angler) is informed if assistance is needed to recover waste line.  Although the Goose has survived the selfishness of the offending angler unfortunately leaves a stain on Angling.

And mentioning rubbish, it is not acceptable to leave it behind! It was positive that dog-ends together with left-over food and assorted rubbish was placed in a plastic bag but leaving the bag in the Cabin with used tea bags where visitors eat is nasty and selfish.

Summary

Catches have improved this month, with notable landings that include 10 x 20lbs plus Carp to 25lbs and 24 x 40lbs plus Catfish (an all time monthly record) to 46lbs.
