Perplexing Payment Puzzles

To provide a Reservation Confirmation please include a meaningful payment reference. A name is the minimum reference required but the following example is preferred:

  Name initials and visit date (e.g., John Smith and 15 May becomes JS 15-05)

Payment references showing “Various” or “Membership” or “Lake 3” is not helpful as we have no visitors with these names; it is a unique identifier that is required.

When receiving payments without any way of identifying “what it is for” or “who it is from” we cannot provide a Reservation Confirmation with the result your visit may not be possible – see below the Manor Fisheries website T’s & C’s final point:

Fishing Report – 1st May 2022 to 31st May 2022

Introduction

It has been a welcome return of many regulars and meeting some new visitors. With the warmer weather this month there has been an increasing number of good catches including several specimens. Congratulations to all the anglers who have featured in all three 2022 Leader Boards.

 Lake 1 (Carp) Logbook Catch Reports

  • Danny and Mark Donnelly returned for a 24-hour session between the 30th April and 1st May and using krill and pacific tuna boilie baits to catch:

    • Danny – 2 x 13lbs Commons and a 14lbs Mirror

    • Mark – Commons weighing 16lbs and 14lbs

  • Beginning his 36-hour session on the 1st May resulted in a catch of 4 x Carp for Glenn McTaggart, including weights of a 21lbs 8ozs Mirror and Commons of 2 x 17lbs and 15lbs.

  • Visiting on the 2nd May Toby Ryland landed 4 x Carp using manilla boilies including weights of:

    • Commons – 19lbs 5ozs and 15lbs 7ozs

    • Mirrors – 18lbs 5ozs and 17lbs 7ozs

  • Regular Paul Teakle visited on the 3rd May when his catch included a 14lbs 8ozs Common and a 10lbs 6ozs Mirror.

  • Regular Terry Keard returned on the 4th May and using krill boilie bait landed a 12lbs 8ozs Mirror.

  • Using chocolate and orange Ringer bait, Ken Darvill had a good session on the 6th May landing 7 x Carp including weights of:

    • Commons – 17lbs 8ozs, 17lbs, 16lbs, 12lbs 8ozs and 10lbs

    • Mirrors – 2 x 14lbs

  • Regular Adrian Burton returned on the 7th May and landed Carp weighing: a 14lbs Common and a 12lbs Mirror.

  • Congratulations to regular David Kendrick who visited on the 10th May and using squid boilie bait caught a 23lbs 7ozs Common to top the Carp Leader Board.

  • Bryan Butler returned on the 11th May and using pacific tuna boilie bait over a bed of sweetcorn landed a great double of Mirrors weighing 20lbs 8ozs and 20lbs.

  • Visiting on the 12th May and using floater bait, Stuart Wood landed a Mirror weighing 13lbs 2ozs.

  • Nigel Hidson returned on the 13th May and caught 4 x Carp including Commons to 12lbs 13ozs plus a 11lbs 8ozs Mirror.

  • Danny and Mark Donnelly returned on the 14th May and using krill and pacific tuna boilie baits, caught:

    • Danny –a 20lbs Mirror and a 13lbs 8ozs Common

    • Mark – a Commons weighing 13lbs 12ozs

  • Tony Back and Susan Stephen-Ford returned for a shot break on the 14th May and were soon amongst the Carp:

      • Tony – Using nutcracker boilie bait produced a Common weighing 14lbs 15ozs plus a 12lbs 2ozs Mirror

      • Sue – Mirrors weighing 17lbs 1oz and 16lbs

      • Tony – Mirrors weighing 14lbs14ozs, 14lbs 8ozs, 13lbs 4ozs, 12lbs 15ozs and 9lbs 12ozs plus a 12lbs 11ozs Common

  • 19th May

    • Sue – A 15lbs 4ozs Common and a 19lbs Mirror

    • Tony – Commons weighing 16lbs 8ozs, 16lbs 3ozs, 15lbs 80zs, 14lbs 10ozs, 12lbs 10ozs, 11lbs 8ozs and 11lbs 5ozs plus a 12lbs Mirror all on coconut and maple cream boilies together with a 3lbs Cat returned to Lake 2.

  • 20th May

    • Tony – Commons weighing 14lbs 8ozs, 11lbs 6ozs and 11lbs 3ozs plus a 6lbs 14ozs Mirror.

  • During a day session on the 15th May, James Twycross and Brad Burton found the Carp in a feeding mood when Cell, krill and pacific tuna boilie baits produced a magnificent “10 all draw” and weights of:

    • James

      • Commons of 17lbs 3ozs, 15lbs 13ozs, 2 x 14lbs 15ozs, 13lbs 12ozs, 13lbs 9ozs, 12lbs 12ozs, 12lbs 6ozs and 9lbs 4ozs

      • A Mirror of 17lbs 6ozs

    • Brad

      • Commons of 16lbs 3ozs, 15lbs 6ozs, 15lbs 4ozs, 13lbs 12ozs, and 13lbs 3ozs

      • Mirrors of 14lbs 2ozs, 13lbs 5ozs, 12lbs 3ozs, 12lbs 2ozs and 11lbs 2ozs

  • Arriving on the 15th May, Martin Crease finished a 96-hour session following torrential rain and stormy weather having landed 18 x Carp weighing: 19lbs 10ozs, 19lbs 8ozs, 19lbs 2ozs, 18lbs 12ozs, 18lbs 8ozs, 18lbs 4ozs, 18lbs, 17lbs 10ozs, 17lbs 8ozs, 17lbs 2ozs, 17lbs, 16lbs 4ozs, 2 x 15lbs 6ozs, 14lbs, 13lbs 8ozs, 12lbs 10ozs and 12lbs.

  • Visiting and using diamond white, squid and krill baits on the 22nd May, Tony Cook caught 3 x Carp including Commons weighing 13lbs and 12lbs 1oz and a 12lbs Mirror.

  • It was another successful visit by James Twycross and Brad Burton on the 22nd May when Cell, krill and pacific tuna boilie baits produced a great 12 x Carp catch including weights of:

    • James

      • All Commons of 19lbs 5ozs, 14lbs 4ozs, 13lbs 12ozs, 13lbs 9ozs, 12lbs 13ozs, 12lbs 9ozs, 11lbs 1oz and 10lbs 7ozs

    • Brad

      • Commons of 16lbs, 13lbs 5ozs and 5lbs plus a Mirror of 7lbs

  • Regular Karl Hallewell returned on the 25th May and had success using CC Moore tuna boilie baits to land Commons weighing 16lbs 8ozs and 15lbs 4ozs plus a 20lbs 8ozs Mirror.

  • Visiting on the 25th May, both John Emsworth and colleague Ken Darvill had successes including weights of:

    • John – 14lbs Common

    • Ken – Commons of 16lbs 8ozs, 15lbs 8ozs, 15lbs and 2 x 14lbs plus a 14lbs Mirror

  • Regular Adrian Burton visited on the 27th May and landed a 11lbs 4ozs Common

  • Paul Duncan and Spencer Norton arrived on the 29th May and both has success using krill wafter baits before trying Lake 2 (Carp/Catfish) the next day:

    • Paul – Commons weighing 16lbs, 11lbs and 8lbs

      o   Spencer – Common weighing 13lbs 14ozs

  • Nigel Hidson and young Reece visited on the  30th May which resulted in Nigel landing a 17lbs 4ozs Common and Reece catching several Rudd on maggot.

 Lake 2 (Carp/Catfish) Logbook Catch Reports

  • It was a welcome return of regulars Bernard and Tracy Day who visited on a sunny 1st May and using halibut pellet baits Bernard landed an early season 33lbs Cat.

  • When returning for a short break, arriving 2nd May, Ray Margiotta targeted the Cats with halibut pellet bait and was soon sharing the Cat Leader Board lead with a Cat weighing 37lbs caught late in the day. On the 5th May Ray successfully fished our other two lakes:

    • Lake 3 (Mixed) AM – 3 x Commons weighing from 5lbs to 8lbs using halibut pellet bait

    • Lake 1 (Carp) PM – Using Robin Red bait over sweetcorn, Ray landed Commons weighing 22lbs PB, 19lbs and 15lbs plus a 19lbs Mirror

  • It was the return of Nick Burden, when he began his 36-hour session on the 7th May and using halibut pellet bait finished with 8 x Cats to 20lbs.

  • Regulars Eric Scott and Peter Parsons visited on the 10th May when Eric landed a 15lbs Cat and Peter a kitten.

  • Darren Mooring caught a 16lbs+ Common using halibut pellet bait during his visit on the 11th May.

  • During a return visit on the 17th May Adrian Burton landed 3 x Cats to 14lbs when using halibut pellet bait.

  • Paul and Will Griffiths arrived on the 20th May for their 48-hour session and using squid baits had successes in landing Cats weighing:

    • Paul – 22lbs plus a kitten

    • Will – 27lbs, 25lbs and 7lbs (and unfortunately a “Biggie” broke off)

  • Arriving on the 23rd May for a 24-hour session David Hare landed a 33lbs Cat and a kitten using squid baits.

  • Returning on the 7th May John Bairam used halibut pellet baits and started with catching 2 x small Carp and ended with a 24lbs 2ozs Cat.

  • Following their Lake 1 (Carp) session on the 29th May, Paul Duncan and Spencer Norton then successfully targeted the Cats using halibut pellet baits on the 30th; landing weights of:

    • Paul – 16lbs and 6lbs 8ozs

    • Spencer – 30lbs

Lake 3 (Mixed) Logbook Catch Reports

  • Debbie and Paul Saunders arrived on the 29th April for a short break and had many successes:

    • 30th April

      • Debbie – 8lbs 8ozs Common on cheese and 9lbs 8ozs Common on luncheon meat; plus numerous Rudd

      • Paul – 9lbs 8ozs Common on pineapple flavoured luncheon meat, 6lbs 8ozs Mirror on maggot and 4lbs 8ozs Bream on luncheon meat; plus numerous Rudd.

    • 1st May

      • Debbie – a great catch of some 90lbs+ using cheese and luncheon meat baits including weights of:

        • Commons – 10lbs 8ozs, 2 x 8lbs, 3 x 7lbs, 2 x 6lbs

        • Mirrors – 3 x 8lbs 8ozs

        • Tench 3lbs 8ozs

        • plus numerous Rudd

      • Paul – whilst acting as photographer extrordinaire, had time to land a 10lbs Mirror where pineapple flavoured luncheon meat was the successful bait; plus numerous Rudd.

  • Regular Bryan Butler had a good “Mixed” session on the 2nd May when ledgering with pacific tuna boilie bait and landing 9 x Carp and 3 x Tench:

    • 8 x Commons and 1 x Mirror weighing 8lbs 8ozs, 7lbs 8ozs, 2 x 7lbs, 6lbs 8ozs, 6lbs, 5lbs 4ozs, 3lbs 8ozs and 2lbs 4ozs

    • Tench weighing 3lbs, 2lbs 8ozs and 2lbs

  • Brian Madden returned for a short break on the 3rd May and using his feeder rod and 6mm yellow wafter bait over mini pellet had good “Mixed” catches including weights of:

    • 3rd May – Commons 6lbs 11ozs and 4lbs 4ozs, Bream of 4lbs 7ozs and 4lbs 2ozs plus a 3lbs 8ozs Tench and silvers on maggot.

    • 5th May – Commons of 8lbs 7ozs, 2 x 8lbs 5ozs, 4lbs 12ozs: Mirrors of 4lbs 14ozs and 3lbs, a Bream of 4lbs 5ozs and a 3lbs Tench using a float set-up and maggot bait.

  • Regular Matthew Smith returned on the 4th May and his “Mixed” catch included weights of:

    • Commons – 10lbs 3ozs, 7lbs 8ozs, 6lbs 14ozs, 5lbs 2ozs, 4lbs 11ozs, 3lbs 1oz

    • Mirrors – 8lbs 2ozs, 6lbs 10ozs, 6lbs 2ozs, 5lbs 6ozs, 4lbs 2ozs

    • Tench – 4lbs 3ozs, 3lbs 9ozs, 3lbs 6ozs, 3lbs 1oz, 2lbs 5ozs

    • Bream – 4lbs 5ozs, 3lbs 8ozs

    • Numerous Rudd

    • Visiting on the 9th May Matthew landed weights of:

      • Commons – 6lbs 14ozs and 5lbs 8ozs

      • Mirrors – 10lbs 3ozs and 7lbs 2ozs

      • Tench – 4lbs 9ozs, 4lbs 2ozs, 3lbs 14ozs, 3lbs 6ozs, 3lbs 3ozs, 2lbs 11ozs

      • Bream – 4lbs 12ozs

    • Returning on the 15th May Matthew’s catch included:

      • Commons – 10lbs 7ozs and 7lbs 4ozs

      • Tench – 4lbs 6ozs, 4lbs 2ozs, 4lbs, 3lbs 11ozs, 3lbs 9ozs, 3lbs 4ozs, 3lbs 1oz, 3lbs and 2lbs 11ozs

    • On the 19th May Matthew’s catch included:

      • Commons – 10lbs 14ozs, 8lbs 11ozs and 7lbs 2ozs

      • Tench – 4lbs 3ozs, 3lbs 6ozs and 2lbs 12ozs

    • It was Sam’s, Matthew’s daughter, first fishing outing on the 25th May when they both enjoyed success:

      • Sam – a 4lbs 3ozs Bream and Commons weighing 6lbs 20zs and 4lbs 3ozs

      • Matthew – Commons weighing 7lbs 8ozs and 4lbs 14ozs plus Tench of 3lbs 6ozs and 2lbs 11ozs

  • Rod and Marilyn Daniels returned for a short break on the 7th May and were soon catching Carp and Tench:

    • 7th May

      • Rod – using wafter and krill boilies Commons weighing 9lbs 15ozs and 7lbs 5ozs plus Mirrors weighing 6lbs 10ozs and 2lbs 3ozs on luncheon meat

    • 8th May

      • Rod – a 6lbs 10ozs Mirror on luncheon meat

      • Marilyn – Commons weighing 8lbs 14ozs, 7lbs 8ozs and 6lbs 1oz on krill plus Mirrors weighing 7lbs 8ozs, 3lbs 10ozs and 2lbs 4ozs on luncheon meat

    • 9th May

      • Rod – Commons weighing 6lbs 10ozs, 6lbs and 3lbs 3ozs on krill

      • Marilyn – Commons weighing 6lbs 12ozs and 6lbs 10ozs on krill plus a 3lbs 15ozs Bream

    • 10th May

      • Rod – 7lbs 20zs Common on krill plus Rudd on prawn

      • Marilyn – Commons weighing 6lbs 10ozs and 4lbs 14ozs plus a 6lbs 10ozs Mirror all on krill

    • 11th May

      • Rod – Tench weighing 2lbs 10ozs, 2lbs 8ozs and 1lb 9ozs on luncheon meat and krill plus Perch on prawn

      • Marilyn – Commons weighing 6lbs 9ozs, 5lbs 8ozs and 4lbs 8ozs plus a 8lbs 8ozs Mirror and a 3lbs 7ozs Tench.

    • 12th May

      • Rod – Commons weighing 6lbs 15ozs, 6lbs 11ozs and 4lbs 8ozs plus a 5lbs 10ozs Mirror all on halibut pellet and Perch on prawn

      • Marilyn – using luncheon meat a 4lbs 12ozs Common

    • 13th May

      • Rod – Using luncheon meat and krill baits, Commons weighing 10lbs 6ozs and 8lbs

      • Marilyn – a 7lbs 13ozs Common on halibut pellet  

  • Simon Rasho returned on the 8th May with his son and caught 10 x Carp to 10lbs plus numerous silvers.

  • Regular Peter Austen returned on the 11th May and landed Commons weighing 7lbs 4ozs and 5lbs, a 3lbs 10ozs Tench and Bream weighing 4lbs 2ozs and 3lbs 4ozs.

  • During his visit on the 18th May, regular Terry Hare had a Mixed haul using pacific tuna boilie baits including:

    • 2 x Commons weighing 8lbs and 5lbs 12ozs

    • a 8lbs 4ozs Mirror

    • a 2lbs Tench

    • a 3lbs 4ozs Bream on luncheon meat

    • numerous silvers on maggot

  • John Price and John Stuart arrived on the 21st May for a short break and were soon catching numerous Rudd and Roach plus Carp, Bream and Tench:

    • 21st May

      • John Price – a 10lbs 10ozs Mirror on worm

      • John Stuart – Bream of 5lbs 10ozs and 4lbs 8ozs on maggot plus a 3lbs 8ozs Tench on bread

    • 22nd May

      • John Price- Mirrors weighing 9lbs 4ozs and 7lbs 2ozs plus Commons of 8lbs 4ozs and 6lbs 2ozs all on bread

      • John Stuart – a 5lbs 12ozs Common on bread

    • 23rd May

      • John Price – Using worm a 7lbs 4ozs Common, a 4lbs 2ozs Bream and a 3lbs 12ozs Tench

      • John Stuart – a 4lbs 7ozs Bream on bread

2022 Reservations

Accommodation with discounted Fishing

Accommodation with Fishing reservations for 2022 are now being accepted at 2021 rates. See Rates online @ www.manor-fisheries.co.uk/rates-1 and all Availability online @ www.manor-fisheries.co.uk/availability.

Membership

For the 2022 season Manor Fisheries is a 100% Members only Fishery for all anglers aged 18 years old or more and Membership numbers will be limited. Applications for 2022 Membership are allocated on a “First come, first served” basis and are now being accepted – see www.manor-fisheries.co.uk/night-fishing.
